What is  "Appoint as Successor"?

When the staff, who is the Supervisor of other staff, is terminated/resigned, and you know who would replace his/her Supervisor role, you can use the function "Appoint as successor". For using this function, the approver role of the terminated staff would be replaced by the staff you selected.

Steps to use "Appoint as Successor" function

•  Go to the selected staff placement profile->More->Appoint as Successor
• Input the predecessor(terminated/resigned staff)
  • If you want Manger A(successor) to replace Manger B(predecessor), you can open the placement profile of A and use "Appoint as successor" function, enter the name/placement number of B and Save. Then all the Subordinates under B would all go to A with the same sequence number.
     
  • If the predecessor(terminated/resigned staff) is the appraiser, you need to consider if you want to add the successor(selected staff) to the existing appraisals. If yes, the system will keep the predecessor's records and change its status as inactive. Otherwise, the successor would only be the appraiser in the new appraisal.
