Add company logo to Backstage/ESS

Why add your company logo to Backstage/ESS?

Of course you want to customize the look-and-feel of Backstage and ESS Portal by displaying your company logo and background. Some clients have quarterly background image displaying the latest brand value. You can show your company logo/image at these locations:

• Payslip
  • Header
  • Footer
• ESS Portal
  • Logo at the navigation bar
  • Background image

Steps to add your page header or footer to Payslip

1. Go to Master Data->Organization, open the Company(in most cases, this is a top-level company with "TOP" label next to it)
2. Go to Attachment->Add New
3. Select and upload your logo
   • For Payslip Header, Attachment Type = Profile Picture, 
   • For Payslip Footer, Attachment Type = Payslip Footer,
   • The Header and Footer image will occupy the whole width of the payslip. So make sure your image is in the proper dimension of 1500 x 200 px.
     • You can use the tool Microsoft Paint, and change the dimension to 1500 x 200 px. Then paste your company logo to it and save​it.

4. Done and you can now check your payslip.

Steps to add your company logo to ESS

1. Go to Master Data->Organization, open the Company(in most cases, this is a top-level company with "TOP" label next to it)
2. Go to Attachment-> Add New
3. Select and upload your logo
   • Attachment Type = ESS Logo
   • As the top bar at ESS has a darker background, it is suggested to have a transparent and white-washed logo for best display. We usually do this by setting brightness = 100.
4. Done and you can now check your ESS

Steps to add your own background image to ESS

1. Go to Master Data->Organization, open the Company(in most cases, this is a top-level company with "TOP" label next to it)
2. Go to Attachment-> Add New
3. Select and upload your background image
   • Attachment Type = ESS Background
4. Done and you can now check your ESS after login.
