[HD] - Holiday Days

What is this:

"HD" stands for "Holiday Days". This payroll variable returns number of holidays in the payroll period.

Value will be returned:

Returns number of holidays in the payroll period. Payroll period means the date range of the payroll batch of the current payroll. The holidays to count for is retrieved from Placement -> Roster -> Holiday Group.

Example:

For payroll in Hong Kong, holiday pay has to be paid in Average Daily Wages instead of common daily rate. The number of days for Holiday Pay will then be:

Parameters/Variations:

[HD(FIRST_THREE_MONTHS)] - this variation will return number of holidays within first 3 months of the employment period. It is useful when you have a policy to deduct holiday pay if staff is terminated within first 3 months of the employment period.

[HD(WEEKDAY)] - this variation will filter holiday on weekday only.
